These Terms and Conditions govern your enrolment in and participation with Kanya Thong educational programmes and your use of our website. By booking a programme or accessing our site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
We have written these terms in plain language wherever possible. If any section is unclear, please write to us at [email protected] before enrolment.

1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, the following words carry the meanings given below:
- "Kanya Thong" / "We" / "Us" / "Our" refers to Kanya Thong, a financial education provider registered in Phuket, Thailand, at 61 Phuket Road, Talat Yai, Phuket 83000.
- "Programme" / "Service" refers to any educational workshop, course, or session offered by Kanya Thong, including the Debt-to-Income Workshop, Cooperative Housing Finance programme, and Financial Resilience Program.
- "Participant" / "You" / "Your" refers to any individual who books, registers for, or attends a Kanya Thong programme.
- "Website" refers to the pages published at https://kanyaten.live and any associated subpages.
- "Content" refers to all materials, worksheets, slides, handouts, exercises, and digital resources provided during or in connection with a programme.
- "Agreement" refers to the binding contract formed between Kanya Thong and a Participant upon confirmation of enrolment.
- "Fee" refers to the programme price in Thai Baht (฿) as published at the time of booking.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry form, completing a booking, or attending any Kanya Thong programme, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under Thai law.
- You have read and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
- Where you are enrolling on behalf of another person, you confirm that you have their explicit authority to do so and that the individual also agrees to these terms.
- You accept that Kanya Thong may update these terms from time to time and that continued use of our programmes or website constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
If you do not agree to any part of these terms, please do not book or attend our programmes. We encourage you to contact us with any questions before enrolling.
3. Programme Descriptions
Kanya Thong offers the following educational programmes. All descriptions, durations, and prices are provided in good faith and subject to occasional revision.
- Debt-to-Income Workshop (฿3,200): A focused half-day workshop covering debt-to-income ratio calculation, benchmark guidance, and practical improvement strategies. Educational in nature; not personal financial advice.
- Cooperative Housing Finance (฿8,100): A two full-day informational programme exploring housing cooperatives and community land trusts in Thailand, including financing structures and membership processes. Educational in nature; not legal or property advice.
- Financial Resilience Program (฿14,600): A comprehensive six-session programme conducted over one month, addressing emergency planning, income diversification, insurance literacy, and psychological preparedness for financial challenges.
Programme content is designed for adult learners aged 40 and above, though enrolment is not restricted by age. All programmes are conducted in English unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.
4. Enrolment & Registration
To register for a Kanya Thong programme, you must complete an enquiry via our website contact form or contact us directly by telephone. Enrolment is confirmed only upon:
- Receipt of your completed registration information.
- Receipt of the programme fee in full (or agreed deposit, where applicable).
- Issuance of a written confirmation from Kanya Thong via email.
Places on each programme are limited to support a small-group learning environment. Registration is processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Kanya Thong reserves the right to decline enrolment at its discretion.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that their contact details provided at registration remain accurate throughout the duration of their programme.
5. Participant Responsibilities
As a participant, you agree to:
- Attend sessions punctually and prepared. Late arrivals may not be admitted after the session has commenced, particularly where group exercises have begun.
- Treat facilitators and fellow participants with respect. Disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the programme without refund.
- Keep programme materials for personal use only. Sharing, reproducing, or distributing any content without written permission from Kanya Thong is not permitted.
- Understand that programme content is educational in nature and does not constitute individual financial, legal, investment, or tax advice.
- Consult qualified professionals before making significant financial decisions.
- Provide truthful information during registration and throughout participation.
Prohibited activities during programmes include recording sessions (audio or video) without prior written consent, soliciting other participants for commercial purposes, and any conduct that undermines the learning environment for others.
6. Intellectual Property
All materials, content, frameworks, worksheets, exercises, and documentation created by or for Kanya Thong remain the sole intellectual property of Kanya Thong.
Upon enrolment, participants are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use programme materials for their own educational purposes only. This licence does not include:
- Reproduction or distribution of materials in any format.
- Use of materials for commercial purposes or in paid training contexts.
- Modification or creation of derivative works.
- Sharing materials with individuals who have not enrolled in the relevant programme.
Participants retain ownership of any personal financial data or notes they create during workshops. Kanya Thong will not collect, retain, or use participant financial data beyond what is necessary for programme administration.
7. Payment & Fees
All programme fees are quoted and charged in Thai Baht (฿). Prices published at the time of your booking confirmation are the fees that apply to your enrolment.
Payment methods accepted include bank transfer, cash (in-person only), and such electronic payment options as may be made available at the time of booking. Full payment is required to confirm a place unless a written instalment arrangement has been agreed in advance.
Kanya Thong reserves the right to revise programme fees for future cohorts. Price changes will not affect confirmed enrolments for which payment has already been received.
Receipts will be issued upon request. Invoices for corporate bookings are available upon prior arrangement.
8. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations by Participants:
- Cancellations received more than 14 days before the programme start date: full refund less a ฿500 administrative processing fee.
- Cancellations received between 7 and 14 days before the start date: 50% refund of the programme fee.
- Cancellations received fewer than 7 days before the start date: no refund, though the enrolment may be transferred to a future cohort at Kanya Thong's discretion.
- Non-attendance without prior notice: no refund or transfer.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected] and will be acknowledged within two business days.
Cancellations by Kanya Thong:
In the event that Kanya Thong must cancel a scheduled programme due to insufficient enrolments, facilitator unavailability, or circumstances beyond our control, we will provide at least 5 days' notice and offer participants either a full refund or transfer to an alternative date. We are not liable for travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred as a result of such cancellations.
Rescheduling: Participants may request to transfer their enrolment to a future cohort once, at no additional charge, provided the request is made at least 7 days before the programme start date and subject to availability.
9. Disclaimers
Kanya Thong programmes are designed to provide general financial education for adults. All content is provided for informational and educational purposes only.
- Nothing in our programmes, materials, or communications constitutes personalised financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.
- Kanya Thong does not predict, project, or represent expected financial outcomes resulting from programme participation.
- Participants are solely responsible for any financial decisions they make following programme attendance. Kanya Thong strongly encourages participants to seek advice from qualified licensed professionals before acting on any information received.
- Programme content reflects the knowledge and experience of our facilitators as of the date of delivery. Financial regulations, products, and market conditions change over time, and content may not reflect the most current developments.
- Our website is provided on an "as available" basis. Kanya Thong does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from technical issues.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Thai law, Kanya Thong's total liability to any participant in connection with a programme or these terms shall not exceed the programme fee paid by that participant.
Kanya Thong shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special losses or damages.
- Loss of income, profits, business, or anticipated savings.
- Financial losses arising from decisions made by participants following programme attendance.
- Loss or damage to personal property during attendance at Kanya Thong premises or events.
- Events outside our reasonable control, including natural events, disruptions to public infrastructure, or government directives.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation.
11. Termination
Kanya Thong reserves the right to remove a participant from a programme, with immediate effect and without refund, where the participant:
- Behaves in a manner that is disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful to other participants or facilitators.
- Violates these Terms and Conditions in a material way.
- Provides false or misleading information during registration.
- Engages in the unauthorised recording or distribution of programme content.
In circumstances where removal is deemed necessary, Kanya Thong will endeavour to address concerns with the participant before taking action, except where immediate removal is necessary for the safety or wellbeing of others.
Participants who wish to withdraw voluntarily from a programme should notify Kanya Thong in writing. Refunds will be governed by the cancellation policy in Section 8 above.
12. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a concern or dispute arising from a Kanya Thong programme or these Terms and Conditions, we encourage participants to contact us directly in the first instance. Most concerns can be resolved informally through open communication.
Disputes that cannot be resolved informally within 30 days of written notice will be subject to the following process:
- Mediation: Both parties agree to attempt mediation through a mutually agreed mediator before pursuing formal legal proceedings.
- Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand.
- Jurisdiction: Any legal proceedings arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Phuket Province, Thailand.
Participants who reside outside Thailand retain the right to invoke any consumer protection provisions available to them under applicable local law.
13. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms and Conditions, together with any written booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between Kanya Thong and the participant.
- Severability: If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
- Waiver: Kanya Thong's failure to enforce any provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it in future.
- Assignment: Participants may not assign or transfer their rights under these terms to any other person without written consent. Kanya Thong may assign its rights in connection with a business transfer or restructuring.
- Notices: Formal notices under these terms should be sent to [email protected] or by post to the address listed in Section 15.
- Language: In the event of any conflict between an English version and any translated version of these terms, the English version shall take precedence.
14. Changes to These Terms
Kanya Thong may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our programmes, pricing structure, applicable law, or administrative practices.
When changes are made:
- The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document will be revised.
- Participants with current enrolments will be notified by email of any material changes.
- Continued participation in a programme or use of our website after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
We recommend reviewing these terms periodically. If a change is not acceptable to you, please contact us before your next scheduled session to discuss your options.
